Bangkok’s International Festival of Music and Dance
The month which incorporates ‘Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance and Music’ is a spectacular period to visit the city. The festival is in its 15th year now and every year the experiences the shows leave you with, are truly gratifying to the soul.

Every year the best artists from around the world in the field of Ballet, Opera, Dance and Music showcase their talents and expose the youth of Bangkok to the best from around the world.

On the 26th of September, The Dutch Swing College Band, which has been around for 65 years now will perform at the Thai Cultural Centre, Bangkok. This exemplary jazz ensemble was formed as an amateur college band on Liberation Day, May 5, 1945, the DSC turned professional in 1960. Over the decades they have backed some of the biggest talents in the business, launched numerous international tours and made many television appearances and in films.

They will be appearing on a triple bill with some other Dutch favourites, the Beets Brothers (aka Trio Peter Beets) and Jazzkia (aka the Saskia Laroo Jazz Quartet) with Warren Byrd (Vocalist/Pianist), featuring the legendary Thai sax player Koh Saxman in a one off performance, not to forget a grand finale where all the musicians will get on stage to jam together.DutchS wing College Band in Thailand
