Baan Chantra Provides an Insight in to the Real Bangkok

Baan Chantra is not a typical Bangkok guest house and offers far more than somewhere to stay whilst in the city. You will soon realize that choosing this guest house opens up a whole new world, and will ensure that you have a unique experience. This privately owned historic home is stunning, and offers home comforts with a touch of flair.

The location is considered to be excellent as this guest house is only 10 minutes from the famous Khao San Road. The guest house is in close vicinity to many attractions, including the Grand Place, Wat Pho Golden Mountain and The Emerald Buddha Temple. However, the noise from the road can be a massive issue as the traffic begins as early as 5,30am.

You can choose from a standard room up to a deluxe suite, which offers a private patio to relax on after a long day. There is air conditioning and a mini bar in every room, and tea and coffee making facilities which is a pleasant surprise. The beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable, which is one of the biggest disappointments with this guest house.

The style of Baan Chantra is distinctive and unique, due to the fact that it is an old family home, with traditional features and décor.  The wooden décor throughout the home is not over powering as you would imagine it may be, and suits the overall style of this guest house. Every area is clean, tidy and feels welcoming.

The people who own this guest house are incredibly friendly, and want to ensure that your stay with them is fantastic. They are incredibly service minded, which is unusual in Bangkok, and makes a delightful change from normal service. It is extremely quiet in this guest house, which makes your stay relaxing and enjoyable.

WIFI is available throughout Baan Chantra, and the signal is strong which makes life far easier when surfing the Internet. There are Mac computers available to use in the lobby, and complimentary Internet in the library. You can relax in this part of the house, enjoying the authentic feeling that this guest house produces.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is something that you must experience as the food is delicious. Every day there are different dishes on offer, all of which are prepared and cooked fresh to order. The coffee is divine, and must be a secret Thai blend as it ensures that you begin your day full of energy.

There are many reasons to stay at the Baan Chantra, however, the price is considered to be far too expensive for the service that you receive. This guest house is unique and quaint, but offers no other services than breakfast. If you want an enjoyable, but expensive experience, staying in this traditional Thai house may be just what you are searching for in the city.
