The Baan Dinso Hostel Offers a Personal Approach and a Warm Welcome

The Baan Dinso Hostel is a small boutique hostel located in the heart of Bangkok, just 10 minutes walk to the City Palace. There are only nine rooms within this accommodation, which ensures that you received excellent service. Lovingly renovated to the 1950’s style this house is beautiful, and offers a vast array of history and charm.

Combined with the classic style this hostel offers quality amenities that ensure your stay is a pleasure. Not only is there WIFI throughout the hostel, you can also use the computer room located in the house.  There is a selection of DVD’s for you to use if you want to spend some time relaxing in your room, and there are lockers to ensure your belongings are secure.

Every aspect of the Baan Dinso Hostel has been carefully considered, including the tasteful yet authentic décor that is artistic and stylish. Located in a quieter part of the city, you will be amazed how little you hear the traffic and noise from the streets. Situated close by are the Khao San Rd street markets, which are excellent to explore.

The energetic and friendly staff ensures that you have a pleasant stay and although English is not their first language every member of the team will attempt to speak to you. The level of service that you receive is more like a hotel, rather than a hostel. For the price of the rooms in this hostel, you will be pleasantly surprised.

The rooms are small, but they have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including top quality air conditioning.  The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the furniture is in terrific condition, which for a hostel is a bonus. There are large windows that allow vast amounts of light to penetrate the room, but some of the shutters do not close, which can be a problem during the day.

En-suite bathrooms are available in some of the rooms; however, the majority of the rooms have to share the bathroom, which can be off putting for many guests. Surprisingly the shared bathroom is clean, well maintained, and not the unpleasant experience that you may expect. You do need to access the bathroom through the main reception, which can be a chore if you are staying at the back of the house.

The piped music that is played throughout the Baan Dinso Hostel is considered overwhelming, especially as it is played on a loop all day. The garden terrace area is peaceful and is the ideal place to sit and relax throughout the day. This area of the hostel is ideal for eating your breakfast, which is a highlight as you will soon discover.

Breakfast is prepared and served fresh every morning by the friendly staff, who will offer a choice of three menus, including a vegetarian option. There is a continental choice, as well as a traditional Thai selection. You may think that rice soup is strange for breakfast; however, once you have tried it, you will soon discover why it is so popular.
